Welcome to the fourth Tibetan Music Awards
MCLEOD GANJ, India, 10 October 2009 —
With a modest show, the Tibetan Music Awards 2009 concluded successfully with
awards going to an array of Tibetan artistes living around the world.
The Lifetime Achievement award was presented to Ugyen Choedon of Dharamshala, India,
and the Best Male Singer and Female Singer were Sherten and Rigzin Palmo.
Artistes who participated in the event included
Norbu Samphel,
Kelsang Chukie Tethong, Dorjee Tsering, Tenzin Dawa,
Yugang Jamyang Tashi, Phil Void from the US, Maura Moynihan from
the US, Katherine Philp from Australia, and Russell Tappan Hawkey and Amalia, both from the US.
Laughing Buddha Music is the official record label of the
Tibetan Music Awards 2009.
