Rock for Tibet in Delhi

Parikrama, JJI Exile Brothers and Dharma Bums are performing in Delhi to reach out Indian student to spread the awareness about the Tibetan situation.

Parikrama, India's foremost rock band, has performed in more than 200 concerts, including a Free Tibet concert in Mcleod Ganj, since its formation in 1991. Their recent song 'But It Rained' was a run-away hit.

JJI Exile Brothers is an internationally-renowned Tibetan band. Their style is a unique fusion of traditional Tibetan with rock music. They have been featured by Channel V and in magazines such as the Rock Street Journal (India) and the Rolling Stone (US).

The Dharma Bums was founded by songwriter-activist Phil Void in the early 70s. This band has performed all over the world for cause of a Free Tibet. The group was started as a loose collection of musicians seeking enlightenment. Their songs reflect a strong belief in freedom and the eternal quest for enlightenment by the human spirit. Phil Void will be appearing as a solo artiste in the concert.

The concert is organised by the Friends of Tibet (Delhi). It will be held at Shankarlal Hall of Delhi University, North Campus on 7 February 2007 (Wednesday) at 2:30pm. Entrance is Free.
