Tashi Lhamo was a student in SOS school Bylakuppe, studying in class IX when she heard about recruitments in Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts in 1994.
She dropped school to try her luck with the institute. Favouring her luck, she was selected among 12 new recruits.
She was trained for three and half years in traditional Tibetan dance and music, which are of her interest.
TIPA sent her to teach at Bylakuppe as dance and music teacher. After a year at Bylakuppe, she went to Nepal to teach traditional Tibetan dance and music at Boudha Academy School, Nepal, where she continues to teach.
She enjoys to be working at the school.
After the school hours, she continue to rehearse singing because of which she was able to produce her first album "Menchung Bhumo" in 2004. The album did good in Nepal and many places in India. She would like to thank all the supporters and fans for making the first album a success!
She is now working on her second album and hopes she will receive your continued support.
